Mami na Aunty

On a vacation i went to Grandpa's house at Mohammadpur in Dhaka. My metarnal uncle Noman Mama (who is an Air Force Officer now) was someone special to me due to his style and sportive attitude. One morning he took me in his lap, go upwards by a ladder(it was used to go to the small room upon the roof) and draw my attention to a beatiful girl(she was senior to me) standing in a veranda of a distant building. I asked him "who is she!!" Mama replied "she is your Sharmeen aunty". I dont like the english word aunty rather i was fond of bangla word "Mami". So, i shouted at once "Sharmeen Mami" and waived my hand. Noman mama grasped me and took me down at once. He told me "Mami na, Aunty" and started laughing. I didn't understand.
Now i always addressed her as Sharmeen Aunty and Noman mama has no problem with that coz they got married after few years of that event. I prefer to address her as aunty coz she is superb and friendly to all of us.

N.B. She gave me few hundred dollars to have coffee in Tim Hortons of Canada before coming here...i won't ever forget that!!!! Thank you Sharmeen mami...oooooppppppsssss aunty.
