Footsteps on/at the stairs/door

I think its a common stry in everyone's life but its special. In my childhood, around 3-4 years i have the ability(!!!!) to recognize my father's footsteps whenever he is on stairs near our door. We lived in a three storiyed building, two apartments on both side of each level. Everyday during lunch time Dad use to come home, had his lunch and then went back to office. I used to wait for Dad at lunch time. Whenever i heard footsteps in stairs i could recognize that its my Dad, run fast to the door so i can opened it asap(with the help of a stick though) and jumped into his lap as soon as he entered. Probably every child can(sort of) recognize dad;s footstep. Nowadays, whenever i got back from the office, as soon as i opened the door my princess screamed out from master bedroom, come to me running. I enjoy it a lot.

Warm Reception in Canada with Wine

With a desire of better education(!!!!) i came to Canada on August 27, 2008. Before coming here my KUET alumni Umel bhai(CSE 99) arranged my accomodation here with few other KUET Alumnis and Ex-Buetian. I arrived in London, Ontario around lunch time. Shohel bhai(KUET 97) and Russel bhai(BUET 98) received me, after a while Umel bhai also joined us. They cooked delicious polao, beef and vegetables for lunch, i was astonished watching so many deshi meals here. After we aare done with our meal Shohel bhai went to the kitchen and brought glasses filled with colored liquid. He told me that its a tradition to welcome new member of the house with wine. And both Russel bhai and Umel bhai also said the same. Three of them started drinking and ask me me to join. But i was rigid not to drink, it was surprise for me that they were drinking though it wasn't shocking to me. After few minutes they started laughing and told me that it was not wine, its  APPLE JUICE. They were just joking :D. So, that was my warm reception in Canada with Wine.
